Next, head to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its alkaline lake that attracts flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds. The park is also home to endangered rhinos, giraffes, buffalos, and a variety of antelopes. Game drives here allow you to spot animals up close, against the beautiful backdrop of the lake and surrounding escarpments.

After Lake Nakuru, venture into Aberdare National Park, a unique, mountainous region filled with dense forests, waterfalls, and high-altitude moorlands. The Aberdares are excellent for spotting rare forest species such as the bongo antelope, as well as elephants, buffalos, and various bird species. Stay at one of the park’s elevated lodges, where wildlife viewing can happen right from the lodge terrace.

End your safari in the Samburu National Reserve, located in Kenya’s semi-arid northern region. Samburu is known for its unique species, often called the "Samburu Special Five," which include the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Samburu’s rugged landscape, with the Ewaso Ng’iro River running through it, provides an enchanting contrast to the green hills of Aberdare and the plains of the Mara.
