This 4.5-hour route traces salsa from its Afro-Caribbean origins to the streets of Barrio Obrero, the working-class neighborhood that made Cali the world capital of salsa and then to different cultural events of the city, some days to viejotecas, where local elders move with a grace that will leave you speechless and some days a big street party.

Meet at Plazoleta Jairo Varela, a symbolic landmark for every Caleño salsero, before hopping in our transport where your guide starts to unpack how 20th-century Afro-Antillean rhythms crossed the Caribbean and took root in Colombia.
