Chiang Mai: 3-Day Slow Boat Trip to Luang Prabang with Guide

Embark on a 3-day slow boat journey from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang. Take in the stunning scenery of the Mekong River as you travel to Pakbeng and Luang Prabang with guide helping all documents.
On the First day; pick up from your hotel in Chiangmai city between 09.00-09.40 am and transfer to Chiangrai city by minivan. We will visit White Temple in Chiang Rai (excluded entry fees, optional). And having lunch there (excluded). Later go to the boarder and cross to Loas side to do immigration proceed. You have to do the Visa on arrival at Laos boarder around 40USD (with pristine condition notes) or you can pay by Thai Baht. it is around 1,800 Thai baht.( Visa fees excluded).

Our Loas guide will help and support you to do visa paper documents and bring you to the hotel at Huay Xay,Laos that you will stay overnight there. (Included)

On the Second day; The Guide will come to pick you up from the hotel and bring all of you to the boat pier.All guarantee seats. Guests will board a slow boat down the Mekong River to Pakbeng city, where you’ll stay overnight. (Accommodation is excluded) you can book a room at Pakbeng in advanced or book it when you get there. Be recommended to book it near the pier.

On the Thrid day; continue your journey on the slow boat to Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage town. Take in the stunning views of the Mekong River and the surrounding landscapes along the way.

*Please be informed* that
- They are public boat not private boat so they are all differece, some day might crowded (especailly high season),some day might empty. We kindly ask for your understanding because we can not set the boat :). However, my local Loas guide will try his best to provide you a good seat. All guarantee seats anyway

- **VISA**, the immigration office in Laos is quite strict about the USD currency bank notes. The money bills have to be in pristine (perfect) condition and may be rejected if they appear worn.

You may also pay using Thai Baht, but it is more expensive due to conversion rates from Baht to dollar (It is about 1800-2000Baht).

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
