On day 1, begin with a pick-up from your hotel in Vientiane. Fly to Pakse with your guide and check in at your hotel. Enjoy a traditional Lao lunch at a city restaurant before visiting Wat Phu and Phu Sarau.
Wat Phu, a spiritual Khmer Hindu temple complex (5th–13th century), offers breathtaking architecture and mountain views. Visit the on-site museum with ancient Buddhist artifacts. Stop by a local market en route for a taste of local life.
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, sampling Lao cuisine, before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay. On day 2, have breakfast at the hotel before departing. Enjoy a Lao lunch at a city restaurant and take an afternoon excursion to That Fan and That Nhuang Waterfalls.
That Fan, at nearly 200 meters, is Laos’ tallest waterfall — a majestic and powerful natural wonder. Experience the lush landscape of the Bolaven Plateau. Note that water flow varies seasonally. Fly back to Vientiane and arrive at Vientiane Airport, where you will be transferred to your hotel.
