A tour to explore and better understand both Vilnius and Lithuania by walking through the historical UNESCO Old Town with a happy and friendly guide.
Vilnius is a beautiful city, renowned for it's green spaces and Baroque architecture. It is also a very old city with lots of history, which nuances are best presented by a local Lithuanian. We recommend starting your tour where the history of the city began 10,000 years ago at the Cathedral Square. Other meeting points in the Old town would also work, however this one is recommended.
Walking through important buildings, streets and other objects you will find out how Lithuania emerged from the swamps to become a self-sufficient country, how it came to its fall, what the situation during the Soviet occupation and what the situation is now.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• This is a walking tour, as it is believed that Old Town is best explored on foot
• Wear comfortable shoes and check the forecast beforehand
• If you require a transfer to or from the meeting point, it can also be arranged for an additional price depending on the distance
• The standard duration of the Old Town tour is 2 hours, but if you don't have time to walk a lot, you can simply see the main sights in about an hour. If you choose to add the Republic of Užupis, the tour will run a total of 2.5 hours

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
