Start your day by visiting Kuan Yin Temple. It is one of the oldest temple in Penang built in 1728. The temple set on Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling (previously known as Pitt Street) and was constructed by early immigrant settlers from China. The temple recently underwent extensive renovations to give it a much-needed facelift. The architecture and decorations are impressive. You can learn how the Malaysian chinese do their worship ritual to their deities/god.

The second stop is Kapitan Keling,  Penang landmark. Apart from the Mosque there are cultural centers there that showcase the culture and history of the Indian Muslim Community as they play a big part of Penangites lifestyles overall. It is a very well maintained place of worship and definitely worth a visit even for non muslims.

Visit The Sri Mahamariamman Temple. One of the oldest Hindu temples standing in Penang, Malaysia. The temple has been standing there, at the same spot, for 200 years ago. Amazing sculptures of gods and goddess are to be seen in the main entrance of the temple.  Good attraction to visit with family and friends to learn Hindu culture, rituals and religion.  Taste Indian tea and sweets and itself makes memorable selfie.

You will then move to St Georges Church which is the oldest Anglican Church in South East Asia built in 1816. It is located along Farquhar Street,  one of the loveliest British colonial heritage buildings in Penang. The most striking feature of the church is without a doubt the huge Grecian columns lined outside the front entrance. The pavilion which sits in the lawn also lends a Grecian air to the ambience.  St George Church is a must-see on your list of places to visit.

Pass by Little India street, step into a bit of Malaysian Indian culture in this place, From the tourist trinket shops to the Indian street food vendors and cafes.  It will be a treat to the senses with lots of beautiful things to hear, smell and taste! Your next stop will be in The Reclining Buddha Temple. It is located at Burma Road. The temple can be seen on the road from Georgetown to Batu Feringghi. It is a quiet and peaceful place. Here, you can see and learn about different religions that you have not been exposed to.

Lastly, Dharmikarama Burmese Temple is the only Burmese Buddhist temple outside Myanmar. It stands opposite Wat Chayamangkalaram Temple, with a pair of large stone elephants flanking the front gates. It is a very lovely and huge Buddhist temple with a large reclining Statue of Buddha.
