Day 1: Fes, Ifrane, Azrou, Cedar Forest, Midelt, Ziz Oasis, Merzouga Desert

Your adventure begins in the morning with a prompt pick up from your hotel or nearest meeting point in Fes. We head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards the Sahara Desert.

First stop is Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, with its alpine style architecture, clean streets, and cool climate. Time to walk and take photos including the famous stone lion.

Next we visit the cedar forest of Azrou where you may see Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. Please be cautious when interacting with wildlife.

We continue through mountain landscapes and Berber villages to Midelt for a lunch break between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Lunch is optional and not included.

After lunch we drive along the Ziz River and through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and traditional villages.

By late afternoon we arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Depending on timing, you may relax at a local kasbah before starting your camel trek. The camel ride takes approximately 50 minutes across the dunes at sunset.

Upon arrival at the desert camp you will check into your private tent and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. The evening continues with Berber music around the campfire under the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga to Marrakech

Start your day early with a sunrise walk on the dunes, one of the most peaceful and unforgettable moments of the trip. After breakfast at the camp, you will begin the journey towards Marrakech.

We travel via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing Berber villages, desert landscapes, and ancient fortresses.

We continue through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n Tichka Pass with panoramic views.

Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the evening depending on traffic and stops.

Note: The drive from Merzouga to Marrakech is long, up to 10 hours, with limited stops. Optional visits to Ait Ben Haddou and Todra Gorges can be included on Day 2 if selected.

Alternative Day 2: Return to Fes

After sunrise and breakfast, we visit Rissani, a historic town known for its lively souks and cultural heritage.

We then continue back to Fes with stops for lunch, photos, and rest breaks along the way.

Arrival in Fes is expected in the evening depending on traffic.

Transportation only option is available if you prefer to book your own desert camp. We can arrange drop off and pick up the following day.

The route passes through forests, mountains, valleys, and desert, with many scenic photo stops along the way. Expect a full day of travel with regular breaks for comfort and exploration. Weather can vary, especially in mountain and desert areas, so comfortable clothing and sunscreen are recommended. In winter it can be cold in the morning and evening, while summer can be hot in the desert. Our team ensures regular rest stops. Timings may vary slightly depending on conditions, but the experience remains well organized.
