Description
Travel the ancient Aztec canals in Xochimilco and explore the colonial city of Coyoacán, with murals at the National Library and centuries-old houses in the neighborhood.
A panoramic tour highlighting the Siqueiros Cultural Forum, which houses the largest mural in the world, "The March of Humanity," by David Alfaro Siqueiros; the Mexico Bullring, the largest in the world with a capacity for 50,000 people; the Insurgentes Theater, famous for the gigantic mural by Diego Rivera adorning its facade, which also features Cantinflas; the Olympic Stadium; and University City, which, due to its architecture and murals by some of Mexico's greatest muralists, holds the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also explore the lava gardens of the Pedregal de San Ángel.
Continuing our journey, we will visit Xochimilco, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will enjoy a ride on an Aztec boat, known here as a "Trajinera." We will also explore the charming neighborhood of Coyoacán with its 16th-century mansions and the impressive Church of San Juan Bautista, whose vault features spectacular paintings by Juan Fabregat created in 1944.
