Hola!!

I’m Betsy Morales, a Oaxaqueña, someone who was born and raised in the beautiful city of Oaxaca!

We´ll start the day having breakfast at a cozy Market, La Cosecha Organic Market, where we´ll learn about native corn and its importance in our culture.

On our way to the next markets, we will walk around Centro learning more about the culture, history, politics, and traditions in Oaxaca,

The second stop will be Chocolate Mayordomo, a local chocolate brand where we´ll learn all about cacao, and how is grown and used to produce delicious chocolate.

20 de Noviembre is our next market, the best place to come and enjoy Oaxaca cuisine. This 67-year-old market hosts the largest variety of Oaxaca food, from Mole to Chocolate, including Tamales, Bread, and even the famous Meat Alley.

The world-renowned Benito Juarez market will be our last stop, where my family has owned a family restaurant for over 20 years, and this is the reason why I know the Oaxaca markets like the back of my hand.

In addition, “Oaxaca Street Food Tour” supports the lifeblood of our community, focused mainly on supporting women-owned businesses.
