Description
Join us for a white water rafting trip along the Lacanjá River. Your expert guide will teach you about the ways of the river and explain how to safely raft down it.
Departure at 5:30 a.m. from your hotel in Palenque. At 7:30 a.m., we will stop for breakfast to recharge before continuing our journey to Lacanjá Chansayab, a Lacandon community located in the heart of the rainforest.
Upon arrival, we will be met by expert rafting guides who will accompany us on an exciting descent down the Lacanjá River, navigating through lush rainforest landscapes for over two hours.
After the rafting activity, a Lacandon guide will lead us on an interpretive hike through the rainforest, where we will learn about the local flora and fauna on an approximately two-hour walk. During the hike, the guide will point out a waterfall where it will be possible to swim and cool off.
Afterward, we will return to the village for lunch, followed by some free time to relax. Finally, we will begin our return to the city of Palenque, arriving back at your hotel around 8:00 p.m.

Not recommended for people with heart problems, back problems, pregnant women, or people with reduced mobility.
Swimming skills are essential to participate in rafting.
Wear comfortable clothing, water shoes or non-slip sneakers, a swimsuit, a towel, and a change of clothes.
Life jackets and helmets, provided by the operators, are mandatory.
We recommend bringing biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent, a hat, and cash for personal expenses.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
