ITINERARY: Visit to Indigenous Peoples of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán

Description:

Hotel pickup Guided visit to the Church and market of San Juan Chamula, where we will know the customs and customs of the region, visiting the interior of the Church of San Juan Bautista full of ancestral rituals and practices, admiring the arrangements on altars and the dress of the saints according to indigenous traditions. We will take a walk around and have time to buy the handicrafts of the region. Later we move to the community of Zinacantán, famous for its waist loom, admiring the looms where we will enjoy a traditional lunch (beans, organic coffee, handmade tortillas and typical drink of the region) in the company of a local family. We can also observe the religious syncretism between the Catholic church and the Mayan rituals admiring the Church of San Lorenzo. Back to hotel
