Description
This is a cultural walking tour through Mexico's Historical Center, it highlights queer history & culture. Enjoy Mexico City, its buildings, and snack on some tacos de canasta.
The meeting point is at Parque Alameda Central, this park dates back to 1592. Here we will have the introduction of our experience and also the last stop of the tour. This Walking tour goes from the meeting point towards, Templo Mayor, then to Zócalo, following with Palacio de Bellas Artes, finishing at Parque Alameda Central.
My wishes for this tour is for you to have a clear understanding about Mexico's history and while walking around the streets towards the past; talk about queers and the LGBTQ+ community have been part of Mexican History.
Some historical Queer people have participated in the building of the Mexican Culture. Artists like Juan Gabriel, Frida Kahlo, Chavela Vargas, and important people for Mexico's independence and revolution.
For this tour, I recommend having a small lunch, we will have some tacos de canasta mid-experience, further recommendations are wearing comfortable shoes for walking, use sunscreen, bring water, and an umbrella.
The meeting point is in Alameda Central Park at 9:30, the time of the tour is 2h 30, finishing back at Parque Alameda Central.
