Learn about Mayan culture on an excursion to Coba that combines archaeology, nature, and traditional activities of the region.

You'll start with a stop where you'll receive a blessing from a Mayan shaman, who will invite you to leave the bad vibes out of your mind. Next, you'll visit the Mayan city of Coba, located in the middle of the Mayan jungle and surrounded by lagoons. You'll tour the archaeological site accompanied by an INAH-certified tour guide, who will help you learn about the history and culture of this important site.

After exploring Cobá, you'll head into the jungle to enjoy a refreshing swim in a cenote. These bodies of water are considered sacred by the Mayans and are part of the natural experience of the tour.

You'll also take part in a ceramic workshop, where your guide will teach you Mayan pottery techniques. The material is included, and you can take your piece home as a souvenir. Finally, you will learn about the Melipona bees that are native to the region.

During the excursion, you'll have transportation and traveler's insurance, an INAH-certified tour guide, bottled water during transportation, a vest, typical regional Yucatecan-style food, and a drink during the meal.

The archaeological tax, souvenirs, and the use of a tricycle or bicycle within the archaeological zone are not included.

The excursion operates on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
