Embark on a unique horseback trekking adventure in Western Mongolia’s Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. This immersive experience combines horse riding, trekking, and cultural encounters with Kazakh and Mongolian nomadic families. This tour involves moderate to advanced physical activity, including daily horseback riding (4–6 hours) and light trekking, so a reasonable level of fitness and basic riding experience is recommended. Weather in the Altai region can change quickly, with cold nights even in summer, so warm layered clothing is essential. Accommodation during the trek is in camping or traditional ger conditions, with limited access to showers and modern facilities.

Due to the remote location, mobile signal and internet access may be unavailable for several days. A domestic flight is required to reach Bayan-Ölgii, and baggage allowance may be limited. Travelers should also inform us in advance of any dietary requirements or medical conditions to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
