Description
Learn the basics of horseback riding with instructors trained in rider safety and beginner instruction.Practice in a controlled area before enjoying a supervised ride across the open Mongolian steppe.
This is more than a short tourist horse ride. At H&A Horse Camp, you will learn the fundamentals of horseback riding through a structured beginner program.
The program is led by riding instructors who have received training in rider safety, basic riding instruction, and participant support. Beginners are welcome, and no previous riding experience is required.
After arriving at the horse camp, meet the riding team and receive an introduction to Mongolian horses, riding equipment, and essential safety rules. Begin in a controlled area, where you will learn how to mount, hold the reins, maintain a balanced position, start, stop, and turn your horse.
Once you are comfortable with the basic controls, set out on a supervised ride across the surrounding grasslands. Experience the vast landscape from horseback and discover why horses remain such an important part of Mongolian life and culture.
The goal of this introductory program is to help participants understand the basic operation of a horse and enjoy riding on the steppe safely under the supervision of the camp staff.
During the day, enjoy a meal in the countryside and learn more about the daily life, horses, and traditions of local herding families.
Helmets, body protectors, and riding chaps are provided. The group is limited to a maximum of four participants so that the instructor can closely monitor each rider.
After the program, return to Ulaanbaatar and receive drop-off at your accommodation.
