From June to November, navigate through the waters around Inhaca Island and Portuguese Island in search of humpback whales during their annual migration. Guided by experienced local captains who know the best observation areas, you will have the opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural environment.
After whale watching, make a stop at Portuguese Island for a relaxing picnic break on the beach, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and untouched nature.
Continue towards Inhaca Island, where you will enjoy a traditional seafood lunch in a local setting, offering a taste of authentic Mozambican island life.
After lunch and free time on the island, begin your scenic cruise back to Maputo Marina, enjoying the final views of the bay.

Moderate mobility is recommended for boarding and disembarking the boat.
All boats are equipped with life jackets and essential safety equipment, and the experience is operated by experienced local crew members familiar with the waters of Maputo Bay.
he meeting point is at the main entrance of Maputo Marina, located along Avenida Marginal, near the Waterfront restaurant area.
Look for the blue-and-white boom gate at the marina’s security entrance. This is the main access point to the marina complex, where vehicles enter and exit. Once you arrive at the gate, our Moz Camp Adventures team will be waiting nearby to welcome you and guide you to the boat departure area.
The location is easy to find by taxi or private transport, and it is commonly known by drivers as “Maputo Marina near Waterfront restaurant”.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time to allow for check-in and boarding.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
