Meet our tour guide in your downtown hotel's lobby. Then heading directly to Eastern Qing Tombs(2.5 hours drive). Your friendly tour guide will explain the related histories and stories along the way. Feel free to ask questions if you have.

The Eastern Qing tombs are an imperial mausoleum complex of the Qing dynasty. They are the largest, most complete, and best preserved extant mausoleum complex in China. Altogether, five emperors, 15 empresses, 136 imperial concubines, three princes, and two princesses of the Qing dynasty are buried here.

Follow your tour guide to explore the few tombs including the tomb for Empress Dowager Cixi, who was known for listening to state affairs from behind a curtain. and the tomb for Qianlong Emperor, who was in real power for the longest time and had the longest life.

You can choose to visit Eastern Qing Tombs as a day tour or combine either the Huangyaguan Great Wall or Dule Temple in the afternoon.

Huangyaguan Great Wall
The Huangyaguan section of the Great Wall including 3 km (1.8 miles) of the wall, 20 watchtowers, one pass fort, and one gatehouse. It is the longest of the Great Wall renovation projects. In Huangyaguan section, you can find the stone base built in the Northern Qi Dynasty, and the brick battlements laid in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Watchtowers there are either solid or hollow, and have different shapes.

Dule Temple
Dule temple is one of great historical and architectural importance and has been recognized as a World Heritage Site. It is over 1000 thousand years old and is the oldest surviving timber structure in Asia. Follow your tour guide to explore this exquisite temple. Admire the 23-meter-high Guanyin Pavilion which is the highest of the existing double-story buildings in China. The Guanyin sculpture is, 16 meters in height, is one of the country’s biggest colorful clay sculptures. All the walls of the temple are intricately detailed with murals depicting important Buddhist icons, entering this temple really is an overwhelming sensation with a kaleidoscope of color and art as well as a window of learning about Buddhism.

After the tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
