Langtang Valley Trek is a popular trek in the Langtang Region. Langtang is the valley of the glacier with more than 70 glaciers. This is Nepal’s best-hidden trekking destination and lies about 51 kilometers north of Kathmandu. Although close to the city, the Langtang Valley is rich in wild scenery. This is a 10-day trekking package that takes you to the wilderness of beauty.

The trail takes you to an altitude of 3,900m, and if you want to go higher, you would not want to miss seeing the sunrise from the Tserko Ri at 4,984m.

This diverse trek introduces you to the Tamangs and the Sherpas Buddhist culture, and the ancient monastery of Kyanjin Gompa, situated near Tserko, upholds this tradition. The spectacular views on this trek include Dorje Lakpa (6,990m / 22,933 ft), Langtang Ri (6,370m / 20,898 ft), and Langtang Lirung (7,245m / 23,769 ft).

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1550m) - 5 to 6 hours drive
After breakfast, drive to Syabrubesi, a small town in the Langtang region. Enjoy the scenic drive and take in the views of the Himalayas.

Day 3: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2480m) - 6 to 7 hours walk
Start your trek to Lama Hotel. The trail is mostly uphill and takes you through dense forests and small villages.

Day 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3541m) - 5 to 6 hours walk
Continue your trek to Langtang Village. The trail takes you through dense forests and offers stunning views of the Langtang Lirung mountain.

Day 5: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3900m) - 3 to 4 hours walk
Trek to Kyanjin Gompa, a Buddhist monastery. The trail takes you through yak pastures and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 6: Kyanjin Gompa to Tserko Ri (4,984m)
Hike to Tserko Ri, a viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, and Dorje Lakpa mountains.

Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2480m) - 6 to 7 hours walk
Trek back to Lama Hotel.

Day 8: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi - 5 to 6 hrs walk
Trek back to Syabrubesi

Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu
After breakfast in Syabrubesi, you begin your journey back to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Final departure
Depending upon your flight schedule transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Langtang Valley Trek is moderately challenging and suitable for trekkers with a basic level of fitness.
No prior trekking experience is required, but being in good health and accustomed to walking 5–7 hours a day is beneficial.
The trek reaches a maximum altitude of 4,984m (Tsergo Ri). Acclimatization days and gradual ascents are built into the itinerary to minimize the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS).
It is crucial to stay hydrated and inform your guide if you feel any symptoms of AMS.
It's recommended to have travel insurance that covers trekking activities.
Accommodation is in teahouses, offering basic amenities like shared rooms, common bathrooms, and simple meals.
Meals typically include Nepali, Tibetan, and basic international cuisine.
Hot showers and charging facilities may incur additional costs.
Make sure to carry Nepalese Rupees as there are no ATMs in the trekking trail.
Respect local customs and traditions during your visit.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
