Duration: 20 days

Description

Hike to Tilicho Lake, situated at 4,919 meters in the Annapurna Range and one of the highest lakes in the world. Its crystal-blue elegance has attracted visitors from all over the world, and the lake is mentioned in Ramayan, an ancient Hindu book.
Following two days in Katmandu, the trek starts from Besisahar and follows the Marshyangdi River. These first few days will offer some great views of Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east. You will then trek through villages inhabited by a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups, with the trail offering spectacular views of the snow-clad Himalayas.

This customized route is basically the same as Annapurna Circuit from Manang, but instead of taking the valley north to Tanki Manang and Yak Kharka, this route traverses the main valley to the west passing through Khanshar Village (the last village of Nepal). Before trekking up to Tilicho Lake, you’ll stop in Yak Kharka then up to the high pass of Thorung La, at an elevation of 5,416 meters.

From the pass of Thorung La, the trek leads down to Muktinath then to Jomsom from where a 35-minute scenic flight takes you to Pokhara. Your tour will later conclude with you flying from Pokhara back to Kathmandu, where you will have a final overnight before the conclusion of your experience.
