The Everest Base Camp trek is a popular and challenging trekking route located in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It takes you to the base camp of Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain.
Day By Day Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
• Take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800 meters/9,186 feet).
• Begin trekking towards Phakding (2,652 meters/8,700 feet), following the Dudh Koshi River.
Day 2: Trek to Namche Bazaar
• Continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River.
• Cross suspension bridges and ascend to Namche Bazaar (3,440 meters/11,286 feet), a bustling Sherpa trading hub.
Day 3: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
• Rest and acclimatize to the altitude in Namche Bazaar.
• Explore the town, visit the Sherpa Museum, and enjoy panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks.
Day 4: Trek to Tengboche
• Trek through forests and cross the Dudh Koshi River.
• Ascend to Tengboche (3,860 meters/12,664 feet), famous for its monastery and panoramic mountain views.
Day 5: Trek to Dingboche
• Descend through rhododendron forests and cross suspension bridges.
• Trek to Dingboche (4,410 meters/14,468 feet), a village with stunning views of Ama Dablam and Lhotse.
Day 6: Take a rest day for acclimatization in Dingboche.
• Optionally, go for a day hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chhukung Valley for further acclimatization and beautiful views.
Day 7: Trek to Lobuche
• Ascend through alpine landscapes and cross glacial streams.
• Reach Lobuche (4,910 meters/16,108 feet), a small settlement located beneath the Khumbu Glacier.
Day 8: Trek to Gorak Shep, Visit Everest Base Camp
• Trek to Gorak Shep (5,164 meters/16,942 feet), the last settlement before Everest Base Camp.
• After a short rest, hike to Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters/17,598 feet) and enjoy the views of the Khumbu Icefall.
Day 09: Hike to Kala Patthar and Descend to Pheriche
• Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for spectacular sunrise views of Everest and surrounding peaks.
• Descend to Pheriche (4,240 meters/13,910 feet) for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazaar
• Descend through Pangboche and Tengboche.
• Continue trekking to Namche Bazaar, retracing your steps.
Day 11: Trek to Lukla
• Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, enjoying the final views of the Everest region.
• Celebrate the completion of the trek with the team and guides.
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu
• Take a scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
• Rest and relax in Kathmandu

Weather and Seasons: The Everest Base Camp trek can be done throughout the year, but the best time to trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These months offer stable weather conditions and clear mountain views. However, weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, and trekkers should be prepared for changes in weather and temperature.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
