Shivapuri National Park hiking is a perfect one day trip near Kathmandu to experience the Manaslu, Ganesh & Langtang Himalayan range as well as enjoy panoramic view of nature around Kathmandu valley.
The Shivapuri National park is one of the main water resources for the citizens of Kathmandu and is also home to thousands of flora and fauna. Moreover, it is also a paradise for those who love to see birds. The Shivapuri (2732 m) is the second-highest hill station in the Kathmandu valley after Phulchowki. The trip begins after we pick our travelers from their respective hotels and transfer to Muhan Pokhari. It marks the start point of our hike and is a little further away from Budhanilkantha temple. On the way to Shivapuri peak, there is a place called Baghdwar. This is the source of Holy River Bagmati flowing nearby holy pilgrimage site and temple of Pashupatinath. From the top of Shivapuri peak, the travelers may sight Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh, Mt. Langtang Lirung, Mt. Langtang Ri, Mt. Gaurishankar with Ganjala Peak, Dorje Lakpa among others. After the completion of our hike, the travelers may choose to explore Budhanilkantha temple and drive back to their respective hotels.
