Mardi Base camp Trek is the shortest trek for adventure lovers as it takes up to 4,000 meter within few days of walking. This trek is an excellent opportunity to observe landscape and Gurung culture.
There are lots of popular small peaks inside Annapurna range. One of the popular small peak is MardiHimal (5587m). Mardi Himal considered trekking peak as they issue permits to climb Mardi. Mardi Himal is the newly opened trekking and still getting popular among the trekkers. It is located on the southeast flank of Machhapuchhre and easily accessible for trekking and climbing. The trip starts relatively low elevation and reach up to 4500m., giving opportunity to gaze a view of Annapurna and Dhawalagiri Area. Spectacular view of Mount Dhawalagiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Annapurna south, Hiuchuli and Machhapuchhre is seen during the trip.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. Meet and greet by our representative/ guide and transfer to your allocated hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing of Kathmandu. Introductory trip to Kathmandu including sightseeing tours and Afternoon time free for doing trek preparation.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (820m.). A scenic drive leaving Kathmandu mostly follows the riverbank. About 200km but depend with traffic might take 7-8 hours in the bus.
Day 04: A short drive from Pokhara to Kande and trek to Deurali (2100m.), 4-5 hours of walking.After an hour drive to Kande, a trekking starting point and hike to Australian camp (2060m.)
Day 05: Trek from Deurali to Forest Camp (2600m.), 4-5 hours of walking. A nice start of the day enjoying the nature as trail ascends through forest. After the ridge the trail goes steeply down and again ascends to reach Forest camp. Overnight at Forest camp in guest house.
Day 06: Trek from Forest camp to Low camp (2970m.), 3-4 hours of walking. The trail ascends at the beginning but doesn’t last after reaching the ridge. Beautiful trees and vegetation with some orchids on the way. Unbelievable view of Mt Fishtail can be observed today.
Day 07: Trek from Low camp to high camp (3550m.), 3-4 hours of walking. The trail ascends following the ridge to reach the high camp. Vegetation keeps changing as elevation keeps going up. Patches of rhododendron forest with some shrubs are very common. Mountain view from here are simply stunning.
Day 08: Trek from high camp to upper view point (4250 m.), and return back to high camp. 2-3 hours of walking. A steep and narrow ascend for an hour leads to upper view point from where one can see the unparalleled beauty of the mountains. The view of Annapurna, Singuchuli, Barhashikhar, Tent peak and Machhapuchhre is really stunning.
Day 09: Trek from high camp to Sidhing village (1700m.), 6-7 hours of walking. A nice descends down to Sidhing and overnight there. Sidhing is the typical gurung village of the area.
Day 10: Trek from Sidhing to Lumre and drive to Pokhara, 2-3 hours of walking and an hour of driving. Trek down to Lumre and take a transfer to Pokhara and overnight in Hotel.
Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
Day 12: Departure from Kathmandu. On a proper time transfer to the airport or transfer for another trip with us.
