Climb aboard a classic Edwardian Punt for a 30-minute guided ride along the Avon River in Christchurch. Your ride will float through the Christchurch Botanic Gardens returning to the Antigua Boatsheds
One of the city’s most iconic attractions, sit back and relax on an informative guided punt ride through central Christchurch – an eco-friendly experience at New Zealand’s only Punting site.

See the flora and wildlife of the picturesque Avon River up close, and learn about the sights from your classically-attired punter. Take off from the Antigua boat sheds to journey through Hagley park. Punt alongside the Botanic gardens and admire some of the native flora of New Zealand.

Punting is an all-weather activity but our staff will supply blankets and umbrellas when needed.

•  Guests must arrive at the Antigua Boatsheds 2 Cambridge Tce 15 minutes prior to your booked departure time
• Punting is an all-weather activity: please ensure you are appropriately dressed for the weather, and our staff will supply blankets and umbrellas when needed.
• Punt seats are low to the ground (much like sitting on the floor).

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
