Description

Discover the highlights of Kosovo on a day trip from Skopje. Visit the Marble Cave, Gracanica Monastery, Bear Sanctuary, Gazimestan, and Pristina.
Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Skopje. Drive through the scenic Lepenac River valley and cross the Macedonia/Kosovo border.

Make your first stop in the village of Lower Gadime, where you’ll explore the Marble Cave, famous for its stunning stalactites and stalagmites.

Next, visit the Gracanica Monastery, an Orthodox monastery built in the 14th century. Admire the church’s architecture, frescoes, and rich history.

Continue to the Bear Sanctuary, home to about twenty bears and, surprisingly, a lion.

Head to Pristina, where you’ll stop at the Bell Tower of Mother Theresa Cathedral Church. Learn about the city’s history, state institutions, main attractions, and districts.

Take a guided tour through the Cathedral, the main streets of Pristina, Grad Hotel, Pedestrian street Mother Theresa, Swiss Diamond Hotel, National Theatre of Kosovo, Main Square with Ibrahim Rugova and Sqenderbeu Statues, Government and Parliament Buildings, and more.

On the way back, pass by the National Football Stadium, the Palace of Youth and Sports, the Newborn and Heroines monuments, the National Bank of Kosovo, Grand Hotel, the Church of Holy Savour, National Library, and more.

For many tourists, the stop at Gazimestan, the battlefield of the Battle for Kosovo, which took place in 1389, is spectacular. Only a few operators will propose this attraction in their tours. The Sultan Murat grave and the Museum are on the agenda.

If you wish, you can also visit the divided city of Mitrovica, known for the concrete block standing in the middle of the main bridge, now used only by pedestrians.
