City walk in Tromsø

On this tour we take you on a walk around Tromsø that was founded in 1795. The city, which was called the Gateway to the Arctic, has been throughout history the start for several Polar Expeditions.
Our experienced guides will meet you outside our offices located in Storgata 77, Tromsø at exactly 12:00; from here they will take you on a guided walk along the pier.

After this short walk the group arrives at the unique Polarmuseet and Skansen area. The tour continues with a guided walk along Storgata (the pedestrian street), the Market Place, the Catholic and Protestant Cathedrals, Roald Amundsen monument and the Mack Brewery.

After this second city walk the group will arrive at the Polstjerna; one of the last vessels hunting seals in the Arctic Ocean until the year 1981.

At around 14:30 our tour finishes and you can choose whether to enter the Polaria aquarium which is right next to the vessel (entrance not included), or you can walk back to the center.

Unsere erfahrenen Guides treffen Sie um genau 13:45 Uhr vor unseren Büros in Storgata 77, Tromsø; Von hier aus gehen Sie auf einem 20-30-minütigen geführten Spaziergang am Pier entlang. Nach diesem kurzen Spaziergang erreicht die Gruppe das einzigartige Polarmuseet und das Skansen-Viertel, wo Sie die ältesten Gebäude der Stadt sehen werden.

Die Tour wird mit einem 30-minütigen geführten Spaziergang entlang der Storgata (der Fußgängerzone), dem Marktplatz, der katholischen und der protestantischen Kathedrale und der Mack-Brauerei fortgesetzt. Nach diesem zweiten Stadtrundgang erreicht die Gruppe die Polstjerna; eines der letzten Schiffe, die bis zum Jahr 1981 Robben im Arktischen Ozean jagten.

Gegen 16:15 Uhr endet unsere Tour und Sie können wählen, ob Sie das Polaria-Aquarium direkt neben dem Schiff betreten (Eintritt nicht inbegriffen) oder zurück ins Zentrum laufen möchten.
