Start by leaving Garden City/Christchurch and head south towards your destination, while the knowledgeable driver points
out some of the Garden City’s highlights. The first decent stop of the day is in Fairlie which is a great opportunity to grab a coffee and try one of the best pies in New Zealand.
After we have refuled for the next part of our journey, we leave Fairle and head towards Lake Tekapo. Once arriving in
Lake Tekapo, the Church of the Good Shephard awaits for you to take some amazing, iconic photos. After all the photos are taken, you turn west and begin to enter the Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, with Lake Pukaki showing us it’s beauty before us.
While in the National Park, you will have 2.5 hours of free time to enjoy some of the local activities. There are free walks/hikes or one of the optional extras such as scenic flights available. After leaving Mount Cook there will be a stop at High Country Salmon – a local salmon farm where you can feed the fish and taste some of the freshest salmon in New Zealand. The it is finally time to head to Queenstown where your tour guide will leave you to relax for the evening.
