Description

Embark on a 3-day safari from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Trek through the forest to see mountain gorillas, visit the Batwa community, and canoe on Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your guide and begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through tropical rainforests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi, known as the Switzerland of East Africa.
Upon arrival in Bwindi, check in at the lodge and visit the Batwa community for a cultural adventure. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After an early breakfast, attend a briefing with local guides and trackers who will provide insights into gorilla trekking etiquette. Hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there.
Trekking may take between 1 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family and altitudes, which can exceed 7,500 feet. The terrain is rough and muddy, requiring physical fitness. Although the hike is demanding, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make it worthwhile.
After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Return to Entebbe/Kampala
After breakfast, start the long drive back to Entebbe, with a lunch stop en route and a visit to the equator line for a unique experience. Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in the evening, ready for your onward journey.

A gorilla trekking permit is required for each participant. The cost of the permit is $800 per person, hence securing it in advance is essential.
The trek can be physically demanding and requires a good level of fitness.
The terrain is rough and muddy, and the altitude is in excess of 7500 feet.
It may rain unexpectedly, so waterproof clothing is essential.
Cameras and plenty of fast-speed films are recommended.
The guide will be wearing our company uniform clearly branded with our company logo. The guide will also be having a placard bearing the details of the guests for our international clients, them for our locally home clients, we shall pick you up or meet at your hotels or gas station of your choice.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
