Day 1: Pick-Up, Transfer to Lake Mburo & Boat Cruise

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation by your professional driver-guide. After a short briefing about the tour, begin your scenic journey along the Kampala–Masaka Highway towards Lake Mburo National Park.

Your first stop will be at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe, one of the country’s most iconic landmarks, where the Northern and Southern Hemispheres meet. Enjoy the famous water experiments demonstrating the Coriolis effect, stand in both hemispheres at once, and capture memorable photographs.

Continue with another stop at the lively Lukaya Market, well known for its delicious Ugandan roadside cuisine. Taste freshly roasted meats, chicken, cassava, and plantains, enjoy refreshing local drinks, and experience Uganda’s vibrant roadside culture.

Upon arrival at Lake Mburo National Park, proceed to your lodge for check-in and relaxation before your afternoon activity.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Cruise across the calm waters as you spot hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a variety of water birds in their natural habitat. The breathtaking scenery of rolling hills, savannah grasslands, and lush vegetation creates a truly unforgettable experience.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Guided Nature Activity

After an early breakfast, set out for an exciting morning game drive through Lake Mburo National Park. Known for its rolling hills, acacia woodlands, and open savannah, the park is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife. Look out for zebras, impalas, elands, giraffes, buffaloes, topis, and numerous bird species as they roam freely in their natural environment.

In the afternoon, choose between a guided nature walk or a guided cycling safari, depending on your preference.

Guided Nature Walk

Learn about the park’s unique ecosystem, medicinal plants, birdlife, and animal behaviour while enjoying an authentic wilderness experience.

For a more adventurous experience, enjoy a guided cycling safari through scenic trails across the park. Ride past grazing zebras, impalas, giraffes, and diverse birdlife while taking in the fresh air and beautiful landscapes.
