Uganda: 4-Day Murchison Falls National Park and Budongo Tour

Begin your adventure with a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s oldest and largest conservation area. Enjoy clear views of breathtaking landscapes, green vegetation, and busy streets along the way. Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

On the second day, start with an early morning breakfast, followed by a briefing from your guide. Head into the wilderness for a 3-4 hour birdwatching experience, where you’ll identify the sounds and sights of several bird species in the wild, including crested cranes, Egyptian geese, and the sought-after stork.

Take a lunch break before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise. Marvel at magnificent waterfalls and spot several aquatic birds, such as the kingfisher. Return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night.

On the third day, enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading to Budongo Forest for a full-day game drive. Traverse the giant Mahogany forest, identifying the unique characteristics of different bird species, including the chocolate-backed kingfisher, Hugli’s Francolin, white-thighed hornbill, blue-breasted kingfisher, and dwarf kingfisher.

After approximately 5 hours of birdwatching, take a lunch break before continuing your quest until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

On the final day, enjoy breakfast before checking out of the lodge. Embark on a rewarding 5-6 hour drive back, taking in the breathtaking landscape and fresh air.
