Description

Explore Oman in 8 days: Muscat, desert dunes, wadis, mountain villages, Nizwa Fort, and snorkeling at the beautiful Dimaniyat Islands. A perfect mix of nature, culture, and adventure.
This is an 8-day Oman tour available as both a group tour and a private tour, depending on the option selected.

Here is the itinerary and description for each day.

Day 1 – Arrival in Muscat
Arrive in Muscat and transfer to your hotel. Free time to relax after your flight.

Day 2 – Muscat City Tour
Discover the highlights of Muscat with a guided tour. Visit the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the elegant Royal Opera House Muscat, the traditional Muttrah Souq, and enjoy views of Al Alam Palace.

Day 3 – Bimmah Sinkhole, Wadi Shab & Ras Al Jinz
Travel along Oman’s scenic coastline to Bimmah Sinkhole, famous for its turquoise waters. Continue to Wadi Shab, where you will take a short boat ride followed by a hike of around 40 minutes through the canyon. After the hike, continue with a swimming route through natural pools leading to a cave with a small waterfall inside, before hiking back. In the evening, arrive at Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve for an optional night excursion to observe sea turtles during nesting season.

Day 4 – Wadi Bani Khalid & Wahiba Desert
Visit the traditional dhow-building town of Sur before heading to Wadi Bani Khalid, a beautiful oasis surrounded by palm trees and clear pools. Later, continue into Wahiba Sands and stay at a desert hotel. Enjoy sunset views over the dunes and dinner under the stars.

Day 5 – Nizwa, Oman Across Ages Museum & Jebel Akhdar
Explore Nizwa, Oman’s ancient capital, including Nizwa Fort and the traditional souq. Visit the Oman Across Ages Museum before driving up to Jebel Akhdar, known for its cool climate, mountain villages, and terraced farms.

Day 6 – Jebel Akhdar to Muscat
Discover more of Jebel Akhdar’s scenic viewpoints and villages before stopping at Birkat Al Mouz to see the UNESCO-listed falaj irrigation system. Visit the Amouage Factory and return to Muscat.

Day 7 – Dimaniyat Islands Snorkeling Tour
Take a boat trip to the protected Dimaniyat Islands for snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. Discover colorful coral reefs, tropical fish, and sea turtles in one of Oman’s most beautiful marine reserves. This tour is operated only in a group format.

Day 8 – Departure
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer according to your flight schedule.

Please note: on the first day, only the transfer to the hotel is included. We can arrange the transfer at any time and from any location in Muscat. If you require an airport transfer, kindly send us your flight details in advance so we can prepare everything accordingly.
The tour involves moderate physical activity including hiking and swimming. This tour is not recommended for children under 6 years old.
Weather can be hot, so bring appropriate clothing and sun protection.
The visit to the turtle beach at Ras Al Jinz is optional. Please be aware that turtle sightings are not guaranteed, as they depend on the season and natural nesting activity.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
