Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Game Drive
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Kampala, passing through rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages. Stop at the Equator for some photos before continuing on your journey.
Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring the vast savannah plains where you can spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, and lions. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare sight found in only a few places in Africa.
As the sun sets, check into your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the park’s landscapes. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Game Drives and Boat Cruise
Start your day with an early morning game drive, exploring the park’s diverse landscapes. Encounter hippos, antelopes, and various bird species.
During the last hour of the morning game drive, head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. This 32-kilometer-long waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is home to hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes. The channel is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 600 species, including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans.
After the 2-hour boat ride, head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, go for an evening game drive or chill at the lodge, resting for the evening with dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Check Out and Transfer to Entebbe or Kampala
In the morning after breakfast, check out of your rooms and head to the jeep. Your guide will be waiting to start the drive to Kampala or Entebbe. The journey will take 6-7 hours, with some stops for lunch, bathroom use, and coffee breaks.
