Stand where Johannes Vermeer stood when he painted View of Delft, and see his hometown through a painter's eyes.
On this private walk, your guide follows Vermeer's life through Delft: the place where he was born, where he lived and worked, and the spot of The Little Street. Along the way you hear how Delft shaped his work, and why so little is known about the man himself.
Inside the Old Church, you visit Vermeer's grave. Your ticket is also valid for the New Church, so you can visit it after the tour.
The walk ends at the Vermeer Centrum Delft, a museum about Vermeer's life and work. Here you continue at your own pace with an audio guide and see an overview of his complete work in reproductions.
The guided walk takes about 2.5 hours, followed by your self-guided museum visit. You won't look at a Vermeer painting the same way again.
