On the first day, we will travel from Huaraz to Quebrada Llaca to begin an ascent to the moraine field. Here, you will receive a safety briefing and practice basic glacier techniques. On the second day, we will begin our ascent to the summit at midnight. Under a starry sky, we will hike across the glacier until we reach an altitude of 5,686 meters (18,655 feet), just in time to watch the sunrise.
