Along the way, you'll step inside the city's legendary picanterías that evolved from humble family homes into the beating heart of Arequipeño cuisine. These lively dining rooms still prepare recipes passed down through generations, serving hearty dishes from enormous clay pots according to traditions that have changed remarkably little over the centuries.

The meeting point is outside the entrance to the Iglesia Santo Domingo church. It is accessible via taxi from most hotels in the city. Uber is available in Arequipa and the most convenient way to hail a taxi.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
