Begin your day with a pickup from the meeting point in Arequipa. Enjoy breakfast and travel to the edge of the Colca Canyon, where you can see Andean condors. Make other stops, such as the pre-Inca terraces of Antawilke, the hot springs of Yanque, and a national reserve to see alpacas and vicuñas.
Savor a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Choose from traditional dishes made with Andean ingredients. Afterward, stop at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve to see alpacas and vicuñas in their natural habitat. With a bit of luck, you might also spot Andean foxes and other wildlife.
Next, head to the Cruz del Cóndor, where you’ll have an hour to walk along the edge of the Colca Canyon and look for Andean condors. There’s a condor nesting site nearby, and it’s common to see several condors soaring over the canyon at once.
After your time at the Cruz del Cóndor, begin the journey back to Arequipa.
