Itinerary and Highlights

Day 1: Airport – Cusco

Our staff will be waiting for you at Cusco Airport to take you to your hotel. Here, we will welcome you with a cup of coca tea, famous for its properties for acclimatization, as Cusco is located at an altitude of 3,399 meters (11,151 feet).

Day 2: Cusco City Tour

We will start with a visit to Cusco Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas, the main church of this imperial city. Then, we will head to Qoricancha, which means "Temple of Gold" in Quechua. Next, we will leave the city of Cusco to visit the nearby ruins of Saqsayhuaman. After that, we will go to the ruins of Q'enqo, a religious site dedicated to Mother Earth. We will then visit the impressive Inca fortress of Puka Pukara, which means "Red Castle" in the ancient Quechua language. Our last stop will be Tambomachay, where we will appreciate a sacred temple dedicated to an ancient water cult. Then, we will return to the city of Cusco, where we will drop you off at your hotel or at the central Plaza de Armas.

Day 3: The Sacred Valley – Aguas Calientes

After breakfast, we will first head to the archaeological site of Pisac, located on top of a mountain. Then, we will descend to the town of Pisaq and its famous craft market. We will then tour the Sacred Valley to the town of Urubamba, where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we will visit the impressive archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. After the visit, we will board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes.

Day 4: Machu Picchu – Cusco

Early in the morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the bus station for a 30-minute journey to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at the citadel, we will start our tour of this amazing archaeological site, visiting the main places within the citadel. After the guided tour, you will have time to take photos before returning to the town of Aguas Calientes. You can have lunch at one of the many restaurants (lunch is not included), after which we will board the train to return to Ollantaytambo and follow the same road we arrived on, to reach the city of Cusco.

Day 5: Hotel – Cusco Airport

Depending on the time of your flight, we will collect you from your hotel and take you to the Cusco airport. This marks the end of our services.

Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
