Pickup: Early, around 03:45 am – 3:55 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to start our journey to Qollasuyo, the southern part of the ancient land of the Quechua people (Cusco). This region holds significant historical importance in the Tawantinsuyo (Ancient Incas) history. The initial transport will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Cusipata: First, we will pass through the District of Cusipata where we will stop for 30 minutes to have breakfast. From there, we will continue our journey for 1 hour until we reach Fulawasipata.
Ausangate Mountain Range: Here, we will have a brief explanation of our journey before starting our walk at the foot of the Ausangate mountain range. We'll ascend for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the highest point of the Rainbow Mountain. Along the way, we'll have the opportunity to observe different types of South American camelids (relatives of the camel). Once we reach the Red Hill, we'll have time to enjoy the stunning scenery and take pictures.
Fulawasipata: Finally, we'll continue our journey with a 1-hour descent into the flat terrain and return to where the walk began, Fulawasipata. The driver will be waiting for us there to take us back to the District of Cusipata, where we'll enjoy a 1-hour lunch break. After lunch, we'll return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Note 1: If you are staying at a location different from the one you selected as your pickup location, it is your responsibility to be at the main entrance of the hotel or hostel chosen as your pickup location for the entire duration of the pickup time range on the date of your tour.

As Rainbow Mountain is located at high altitude (approx. 5,200 meters / 17,060 feet above sea level), it is recommended to acclimatize in Cusco for a couple of days before undertaking this trek.
Personal belongings, such as water, snacks, sunscreen, and a hat, should be brought along for your comfort during the hike.

Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
