Itinerary
We will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 a.m. to embark on an excursion to the northwest. Our destination is the Andean community of Misminay.

Before reaching this community, we will stop at the archaeological site of Moray and tour the enormous concentric terraces used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory.

We will leave Moray and, after crossing the impressive landscapes of the Maras district, we will leave the paved road and enter the most rural Peru. We will have reached one of the most picturesque places in the country: Misminay.

Once there, a local guide will tell us about the history and origins of the Misminay Mullakas. Have you heard of them? This community, whose way of life is based on agricultural and textile work, has managed to carve a niche for itself in the world of tourism thanks to all those who come to learn about their daily life.



In fact, during the tour we will have the opportunity to learn about some of the customs of the Misminay, such as the preparation of the traditional uchucuta, a cream of rocoto and herbs. In addition, you will be able to learn much more about the importance of this community during the visit to the Interpretation Center. If you wish, you can take advantage of this time to explore or buy some local products made by the Misminay.
Finally, we will travel to Ollantaytambo to visit the archaeological complex of the same name, one of the largest in Peru. You will be able to explore the whole town and even visit the local market.

We will finish the excursion by returning to Cuzco. We will be at your hotel around 16:00.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
