From Cusco: Glacier Quelccaya Full-Day Tour

Explore the Quelccaya Glacier, the world’s largest tropical ice cap. Enjoy stunning high-altitude landscapes, unique ice formations, and an immersive Andean adventure in a single full-day experience.
1. Early Departure from Cusco – 3:00 a.m.

Your adventure begins with a pickup at 3:00 a.m. from Plazoleta Regocijo. From there, we begin a scenic 5-hour drive toward the community of Phinaya, crossing some of the most impressive landscapes of the Andean highlands.

2. Arrival in Phinaya & Hike to the Quelccaya Glacier

Upon arrival in Phinaya, you will enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast.
We then continue by vehicle for approximately 1 hour until reaching the foothills of the Quelccaya Glacier, the largest tropical glacier in the world.

From this point, we start a gentle 15-minute hike to reach the glacier. Here, you will explore suspended ice formations, natural blue ice caves, and breathtaking snowy structures — a truly unique experience in the Andes.

️ 3. Lunch & Visit to Sibinacocha Lagoon

After the glacier visit, we return to Phinaya for a delicious Andean lunch.
We then board the transport again to begin the return journey toward Cusco, making a stop at the stunning Sibinacocha Lagoon, one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the Andean region.

4. Return to Cusco – 9:00 p.m.
We conclude the experience with an evening arrival back in Cusco at approximately 9:00 p.m.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
