Description

Discover the spectacular tropical glacier, crystal mirrors, and tropical ice. Quellcaya Suyuparina, a glacier in the Vilcanota mountain range
Start your excursion with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco (3:00 to 3:30 AM). Then, we'll head south of Cusco for 5 hours, until we reach the town of Phinaya, where we'll have our first stop for a delicious Andean breakfast.

Then we'll continue on the road for 1 hour until we get close to the imposing Quelccaya Glacier, recognized as the largest tropical glacier in the world. Once you reach the bus parking lot or the end of the vehicular route, you'll take a 20-minute walk to the Quelccaya Glacier.

Along the way, you'll be able to explore the natural beauty of the place: crystal-clear lagoons, streams, vicuñas in the wild, and the imposing mountains of the Vilcanota mountain range. After a good walk, we'll head back to the vehicle to return to the small town of Phinaya, where a typical local lunch, prepared with local ingredients, will be waiting for us.

Then, we'll board our transport again to start the return trip to Cusco for approximately 5 hours, making a special stop at the magical Sibinacocha Lagoon, one of the largest and most beautiful in the highlands. We'll wrap up this unforgettable adventure by arriving in Cusco around 8:00 p.m.
