Description

Explore Paracas and Ica: see sea lions, penguins, and birds in their natural habitat on the Ballestas Islands, visit a traditional winery, and ride a dune buggy and sandboard in the dunes of Huacachina.
Explore Paracas and Ica in a full experience: visit the Ballestas Islands, see sea lions, penguins, and birds in their natural habitat, visit a traditional winery, and round out the adventure at the Huacachina oasis, where you'll take buggies up the sand dunes and go sandboarding.

We leave Lima very early, heading south. On the way, we'll make a stop at km 57 of the Panamericana Sur at a place well known for its artisanal breads, where you can choose between coffee, freshly baked breads, and chicharrón. Consumption at this stop is at the passenger's expense.

Upon arrival at Paracas, we board at the El Chaco wharf and head for the Ballestas Islands. On board the gliders, and accompanied by a professional tour guide, we sail past the Candelabro, the huge geoglyph engraved on the slope facing the Pacific, whose origin remains a mystery. Once on the islands, you can hear the colonies of sea lions before you see them; thousands of guano birds rest on the rocks, and Humboldt penguins peek out from between the cracks. It's the stretch that everyone remembers.

Back on land, we visit an artisanal chocolatier where you can taste chocolates and sweets typical of the area.

We continue to Ica, to a traditional winery. There you will discover the artisanal pisco process and take part in a tasting of wines, piscos, pisco creams, macerados, and mistelas, included in your sightseeing tour. At the same place, you'll have the option to have lunch with a typical local dish; the cost is at the passenger's expense.

The afternoon is pure adrenaline in the Huacachina oasis: we get on the buggies to ride through the gigantic desert dunes and sandboard down from the top. You'll have time to take photos in the oasis and while you glide across the dunes.

Before returning to Lima, we stop in Chincha to end the day with a food tasting of wines, piscos, and typical sweets from the region.
