Duration:

Description
Enjoy a full-day guided expedition between the ocean and the desert. Explore the biodiversity of the Ballestas Islands and the landscapes of Paracas National Reserve and Playa Roja.
Enjoy a full-day, fully immersive experience designed for travelers who want to understand the natural, geological, and historical richness of the Paracas Bay and Peninsula. This experience brings together the region's two main ecosystems in a single guided narrative.
During the first part of the morning (8:00–10:00 a.m.), we'll head out into the marine environment to study the enigmatic geoglyph of El Candelabro up close, discussing the main anthropological theories about its origin. We'll then continue to the rock formations of the Ballestas Islands, a vital refuge for Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and thousands of guano birds, where you'll receive guidelines for wildlife observation and photo composition.
After a short break on land, at 11:00 a.m. we'll begin exploring the Paracas National Reserve, a coastal desert sanctuary with millions of years of paleontological and geological evolution. We'll visit the Isthmus Vantage Point to appreciate the geography of the peninsula and learn about the seismic and natural history of the La Catedral rock formation.
The tour will take us to the scenic heart of the reserve: Red Beach, whose volcanic sand creates an extraordinary color contrast against the sea. We will also explore the natural expanse of Playa Yumaque, the calm waters of Playa La Mina, and the cove of Lagunillas, where you will have time to enjoy the coastal setting and its local cuisine before wrapping up our expedition at 3:00 p.m.
