From Iquitos || 3-day adventure on the Yanayacu River ||

The adventure in the Amazon rainforest was about to begin! We headed towards the embarkation port, where the Yakumama Tours team was waiting for us to embark.
Itinerary

Day 1

We will pick you up at your hotel in Iquitos at 9:00 am. Once in the minibus, we will go to the port on a road trip of about 90 minutes. There we will take a small boat that will take us to the lodge where we will spend the next two nights. The Yanayacu River adventure begins!

When we arrive, we will leave our things in the lodge and have a buffet lunch. Afterwards, we will walk around to learn all about the humid flora of the territory.

Afterwards, we will enjoy a magnificent sunset over a lagoon. You will fall in love! And after that, we will go to dinner to get strength for the next activity: we will take a night boat ride and try to see birds, mammals and the dreaded caimans. Be careful!

Day 2

After breakfast, we will get on a boat. We will sail down the river to the site of the pink dolphins, extraordinary creatures of the Yanayacu River! During the ride, we will also see the famous Victoria Regia aquatic plant, the largest in the world, and the friendly iguanas that camouflage themselves around.

Afterwards, we will have lunch at the lodge and you can choose to go piranha fishing in the Corriente and Purura lagoons. Later, we will visit the community of San Juan de Yanayacu, where we will learn about their customs and traditions, and have dinner in the cabins before heading out to look for tarantulas and giant frogs.

Day 3

Last breakfast! After enjoying Peruvian delicacies, we will board a boat and arrive at the Sapote lagoon, where we will see different birds and their subtle movements. Then we will go to the Moena lagoon, where we will be able to see the friendly sloths that coexist with the monkeys.

After that, we will return to the camp for lunch and sail to Iquitos. Once in the port of the city, the bus will pick us up to take us to our destination. We will drop you off at your hotel or at the airport from 4:00 p.m. onwards.

Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
