TAMBOPATA AMAZON WILD (3 DAYS – 2 NIGHTS)

Be part of this experience: the Tambopata Amazon Wild Tour, 3 days and 2 nights. Visit trails inside the forest, enjoy the sunset on the river, observe a variety of flora and fauna.
DAY 1: MONKEY DAY
Reception at our office and heading to our lodge to begin the adventure, the 35-minute boat ride to the lodge which is located near the Madre de Dios River. Presentation of the lodge and rooms with private bathroom.
Typical lunch (vegetarian or vegan optional)
ACTIVITIES:
Visit to the monkey house where we will meet 4 species of monkeys and we will be able to feed them fruits and vegetables.
Night walk where with a flashlight we will search in our primary and secondary forest for insects and nocturnal animals, such as sloths, tarantulas, spiders, frogs, giant toads, scorpions and maybe snakes because they are active at night.
Return to the lodge for dinner

DAY 2: SANDOVAL LAKE ROAD
AMERICAN BREAKFAST
We will immediately head to the port of Sandoval Lake by boat for 30 minutes and a 3 kilometer walk (1 hour). Our path is very clean and connects with a well-preserved bridge to reach the lake and where we can find:
monkeys up to 4 species
snakes
tarantulas
tropical birds
parrots
mammals
At the end of the walk, a canoe awaits us to go to our cabins exploring Sandoval Lake.
We explore along the right bank to look for fauna around the lake and on the way we can find; tropical birds on the shore, herons, alligators, and the giant 2 meter long river otter.

arrive at our lodge where our lunch awaits us and your respective rooms will be given to you.
After a short break we will take a boat to go and watch the sunset in the Amazon jungle accompanied by monkeys and bats. Then we will return to the lodge, take a boat and go out in search of alligator sightings.
Finally we will return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

DAY 3: THE TAMBOPATA SUNRISE
Amazon sunrise and departure to Puerto Maldonado. This morning you will be able to enjoy the sunrise and capture the impressive views of the Madre de Dios River. You will enjoy a last nutritious breakfast
with organic ingredients from our pantry before leaving.
Your guide and the staff in charge will say goodbye to you and thank you for visiting this part of the Amazon. You will travel by canoe with an outboard motor back to Puerto Maldonado. Depending on your departure time, you will be able to relax and calmly wait for your bus home or to your next destination.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
