2 Day Amantani Island Rural Tourism Tour Standard Option

Stay a night with a local family in Amantani Island (Rural area), Lake Titicaca. Try the local food and experience life in the countryside. The tour includes a visit to Uros Floating islands and Taquile Island on the second day.
The excursion starts with a morning pick-up from the hotel to the main port in the city.

Departing from Puno city, the boat stops in The Uros floating Islands, where the guide will explain the history, purpose, and the way to make floating islands. After the explanation you will have free time to walk along the island or just interact with the locals.

Continuing with the trip the boat will head to Amantani Island where the local family will be waiting to take you to the house, Lunch will be prepared by the family using local products. In the afternoon the guide will take you to the top of the island to see one of the most amazing sunsets in Peru (optional), if not, just walk around the island enjoying the great views of Lake Titicaca. At night a welcome party organized by the locals will be held in the comunal room. Dinner and breakfast will be provided by the family.

The second day after breakfast the leader of the family will take you to the island's pier to take a boat to ride to Taquile island, where you guide will explain the traditions of the islanders in Taquile which are very special compared with other places in the lake. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Taquile island.

Return to Puno city on the second day.
