During this experience, you will travel across the stunning Lake Titicaca until you reach the peaceful Amantaní Island, where you will begin an authentic immersion in rural Andean life. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a local family who will open their home to you and accompany you during your stay on the island.
During the 2- or 3-day program, you will have the opportunity to learn about their traditions, customs, and way of life up close. You will share everyday moments with your host family, taking part in some of their daily activities, such as work in the fields, which may include planting or harvesting, depending on the season.
You will also go on hikes across the island to discover its natural landscapes, agricultural terraces, and beautiful lake views. During the tour, you will learn about the local culture, community organization, and traditions that have been kept alive for generations.
This experiential tourism experience will allow you to connect with the culture of Lake Titicaca in an authentic way, spend time with the local community, and enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of Amantaní while experiencing the hospitality of its families.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
It is recommended that you bring comfortable clothing, sunscreen, a hat, water, and cash for personal expenses. Due to the altitude of Lake Titicaca, it is recommended that you be acclimatized before participating in the activity. Accommodation is provided in family homes within the community on Amantaní Island.

- Totora raft ride on the Uros Islands, if you choose the option departing from the Port of Puno.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
