Puno: Full-Day Tour of Uros and Amantani with an Authentic Cultural Experience

Sail the waters of Lake Titicaca, meet the Uros, and explore Amantani Island on a traditional tour with a cultural experience.
Enjoy an authentic experience sailing on our regular boat through the waters of Lake Titicaca, at more than 3,800 meters above sea level. The tour starts at 7:00 a.m. with a pick-up from your hotel to the port of Puno.
You'll have a bilingual guide (English/Spanish) to help and assist you throughout your tour.

The Uros' Floating Island

Our first stop will be the Uros Island, a very old indigenous community. In the Uros, we'll learn about the inhabitants' way of life. They'll also explain how they build their islands and homes, and we'll discover how they still preserve some ancestral traditions passed down from generation to generation.
You can spend time with local families, take an optional ride on traditional totora rafts, and enjoy the scenery around the islands.

Amantani Island

After our visit to the Uros Island, we'll continue sailing until we reach Amantani Island, where local families will welcome us. After disembarking, we'll head to our local restaurant, where we'll enjoy a typical lunch of trout made with local products.
After a short break, we'll take a scenic walk to the Pachatata and Pachamama ceremonial temples, where you'll have incredible views of the entire island and the lake in all its splendor. Continuing our walk, we'll descend to the main square of Amantani, where you'll have free time to take photos, buy handicrafts, and explore the place.

We'll head back to Puno (about 2:20). When you get to the port, a ride will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
