Day 1: Starting early at 4:00 am from Cusco, drive to Ollantaytambo, then take a train to Km 104, Chachabamba checkpoint to begin the trek. Visit the Chachabamba archaeological site and hike through lush landscapes to Wiñay Wayna for a guided tour, lunch, and rest. Join the main Inca Trail to the Sun Gate for panoramic views of Machu Picchu. Descend to a viewpoint, then bus to Aguas Calientes for an overnight stay, with optional thermal baths visit and dinner. Plan the next day's visit.

Day 2: Rise early for a bus ride from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Begin with a guided tour, including a viewpoint for a sunrise over Machu Picchu. Explore the site independently afterward. Return to Aguas Calientes by bus or on foot, then take an afternoon train to Ollantaytambo. A driver will meet you there for the return trip to Cusco.
