From Cusco: Mystic Fire Ritual in Huayllarcocha Lagoon

This ceremony takes place in contrast to the Inti Raymi ceremony, for this ceremony the representatives wear fine clothing, the main objective is to receive the sun rays and light the sacred fire.

Itinerary:

• We start this day by picking you up at your hotel in the city of Cusco to go to the Huayllarcocha lagoon and have a great experience.
• Arriving at the place we will be filled with great energy and mysticism, definitely a perfect place to participate in this ceremony.
• The lagoon will surprise us with the great variety of animals such as alpacas, llamas, wild ducks or flamingos, while the Inca priest will be waiting for us to start the ritual.
• We begin with reading coca, a perfect opportunity to ask about the future and fill yourself with mystical energies.
• We continue with a cleansing with the sacred Inca fire, this ritual is known as Inti Raymi.
• The high priest, also called Huillac Huma, will salute the Sun God, asking him to send his heat to light the new sacred fire.
• We will end this great experience with the lyrical singing of a soprano.
• We finish the ceremony and we will return to the same meeting point.
