Meet your group and leave Alter do Chão heading north, passing by the Piranhas Lake. Do a photo stop at Ponta do Cururu, and then start the crossing trough Tapajós River, passing through the Vila Franca community and entering the Arapiuns River.

On the Arapiuns River visit the Urucureá riverside village, a wonderful cove, which is subdivided into three arms of water, providing a unique view. See the picturesque church, and pay a visit to a local house where you will witness the talent of the native ladies in handcrafted pieces made with mastery. See the preparation and making of handicrafts — a true cultural show — and receive valuable knowledge about the arts and history of the Arapiuns River.

During lunchtime, taste the Amazon with a meal prepared by a local, with fresh fish, free-range chicken, and sometimes meat. After lunch, relax laying on a hammock, enjoying the breeze.

Continue the tour along the rocky banks of the Arapiuns River to your next stop, the fascinating Ponta do Toronó and Grande Lake. Walk over sand dunes that stretch for meters and divide the Arapiuns River into a large lake, with dozens of birds flying over and porpoises showing their fins. 

Enjoy a picnic with fresh fruits such as watermelon, pineapple, banana, passion fruit, orange, apple, and coconut. This is a very good place for photos and to swim in crystal clear waters. 

At the end of the tour, head to Ponta do Icuxi to see the sunset. After gazing at the sunset, return to Alter do Chão, cruising under a clear and starry sky.
